Savior for All Mankind ORIGINAL
Original acrylic painting on 11x14 canvas, with an ash wood floating frame. This item ships within 7 business days. Shipping is free.
This painting depicts the Savior Jesus Christ as the centered focal point, with slightly desaturated warm and cool tones. He is wearing a red robe, symbolizing his return when He come again. His face was painted with loose and abstract marks, as the artist chooses to leave the interpretation of the Savior's image up to the viewer. His stance with arms outstretched symbolizes both figuratively and literally His neverending desire to have all mankind come and be redeemed through his atoning power.
Note from the artist:
"I have struggled for a long time feeling confident enough to attempt painting such a perfect being. Feelings of inadequacy in both my personal life and as an artist always seemed to hinder me. However, my desire to share my testimony and talent through my art has always stayed in the back of my mind. The world needs more goodness in it, and I asked God if He could help me paint Jesus. I had the feeling that God wants me to share my goodness, even if I don't paint His Son exactly right. Ironically enough, I have also come to a place in my life where I am trying to rid myself of feelings of perfectionism that were leaving me always feeling like I was not enough. I am learning that God doesn't expect flawlessess efforts and results, but moving forward in faith. God in fact sent His Son for this reason, knowing that we would mess up, and the only way we can become perfect is if we become one with the Savior. I plan to paint many more paintings of Jesus, and desire to share this goodness with a world that needs His light, hope, peace and redeeming power that is sufficient for all mankind."
Painting is signed on the back of the canvas by the artist.
