This painting features one of the views on the scenic drive to the Grandwash trail in Capitol Reef National Park in Utah.  Capitol Reef is a hidden gem in my opinion, and has become one of my favorite National Parks in my state.  The various shades of red, orange, and purple in the jagged rock cliffs against the green vegetation are contrastingly stunning.
